The fabrication quality is excellent. A big improvement over the originals. The nickel-silver material stays clean and is a conducts power very well. The only issue is that when the stub axles are pressed into the gears - and gauged with an NMRA HO scale gauge, they can touch and cause a short. Two out of six were touching in my case. I simply used a Dremel tool to remove a very small amount from the axles and the problen was resolved. NWSL could make them about .008" shorter and eliminate the problem
